Stocks stumble late

The S&P 500 closed 1 point higher to 2732 after trading in a range of 2725-2754. Notably, the close is just above the intraday high on February 7, in what's a small technical victory. However it's below the 61.8% retracement.

In the bigger picture, it was the best week for the index since January 2013 with a 4.3% gain.

If there's bad technical news, the S&P 500 didn't quite cover the prior week's losses on the weekly chart.

As for the rest:

  • The Dow gained 4.25% in the best week since Nov 2016
  • The Nasdaq gained 5.3% in the best week since Dec 2011
