Republican Susan Collins said talks have taken place
Moderate Republican Senator Susan Collins said she had conversations with several Democrats who are willing to negotiate on healthcare.
Ultimately, I think that would be politics. They could pass a bill and send it back to the House but conservative House Republicans would kill it. That would let Democrats say they tried to work together.
But that's all an extreme longshot.
