USD is weaker

The JPY is the strongest currency while the CAD is the weakest as NA traders enter for the day. The USD is trading lower with only the greenback up a small amount vs. the CAD and the AUD. The USD is down -0.95% and in the process is moving toward the September 2017 low of 107.31. The low price today reached 107.43.

The ranges and changes snapshot shows the activity in the JPY. The JPY pairs have some of the largest trading ranges and all of them are weaker.

  • Spot gold up $4.20 or +0.31% at $1326.58
  • WTI crude oil is down -$0.26 or -0.46% at $59.00
  • Bitcoin on Coinbase is down $183 at $8636. The 100 hour MA is at $8505

IN the US stock market, the futures are implying a lower open for the major indices:

  • The S&P futures are implying a fall of -8.05 points
  • The Nasdaq futures are implying a fall of -21 points
  • The Dow futures are implying a fall of -87 points

The US yields are higher in the 2 year, but lower out the curve in early trading:

  • 2-year yields 2.089%, up 1.4 basis points
  • 5-year 2.550%, -0.8 basis points
  • 10 year 2.838%, -2.0 basis points
  • 30 year 3.125%, -1.9 basis points
