A shutdown starts at midnight if there is no deal
The Senate doesn't appear to have enough votes to pass the spending deal and avert a government shutdown.
The US dollar is under a bit of pressure today but it could just be the usual ebb and flow. US stock futures are slightly higher.
However, it's an opportunity for Commerzbank to deliver this scathing commentary on US politics.
The question is whether the indifference in the market will last into the close. My guess is the jitters will hit late.
