Trump asked aides for anti-China tariffs

Politico reports that after the U.S. Trade Representative Robert Lighthizer presented a package targeting $30 billion a year in imports, the president asked for an even bigger number.

The report says Trump wants a formal announcement of the measures "in the coming weeks" with possible tariffs on more than 100 Chinese products ranging from electronics and telecommunications equipment to furniture and toys with some coming as soon as next week.
