UK FTSE closes at another record. European stocks higher today.

Yields are mixed

The UK FTSE is closing at record levels.  The index is up 0.2% at 7778.64. The high reached 7792.56. The low for that index was at 7752.63.

  • UK 1.339%, up three basis points
  • Spain 1.501%, -3.7 basis points

  • Portugal 1.794%, -3.1 basis points
Looking at other markets as the European session comes to a close:
  • Spot gold is up $9.24 or 0.7% at $1331.61
  • WTI crude oil futures and moved back positive at up $.12 or 0.19% at $63.93
US stocks continue to march higher:
  • S&P indexes of 14.3 points or 0.52% at 2781.87
  • NASDAQ composite index is up 37.53 points or 0.52% at 7249.37
  • Dow industrial average is up near 200 points or 0.77% at 25,773.62
US yields are higher:
  • The two-year yield has hit 2% in trading today. It currently trades at 2.001% up 2.3 basis points. The high reached 2.02%
  • five-year 2.3516%, up 2.5 basis points
  • 10 year 2.557%, up 2 basis points
  • 30 year 2.865%, unchanged
The GBP is going out as the strongest, while the NZD is the weakest.  The USD is more down with most of the declines coming against the EUR and the GBP.
