- 198 vote 'no' (ie for him)
- 9 abstentions
That's not a good sign for Zuma despite the win. His party has 249 votes, so 51 members of his own party voted against him, abstained or didn't cast a vote.
USD/ZAR rallied on the result -- the market doesn't like Zuma. The dip yesterday came when the vote was called and market participants believed he could be turfed.
