US dollar up mostly

As the US stock market gets ready to open, a snapshot of the strongest and weakest currencies is showing that the GBP is the strongest, while the AUD is the weakest. The USD is higher with gains against all the major currencies with the exception of the GBP.

The ranges and changes are showing the EURUSD underperforming. The range is only 28 pips - well below the 22 day average (about a month of trading) of 73 pips. The USDCAD is on the move higher in the North American session after the worse than expected GDP data today.

  • WTI crude oil little changed at $54.07. The high extended to $54.28.
  • US yields are little changed: 2 year 1.5798%, up 0.6 bp. 5 year 2.00, up 0.4 bp. 10 year 2.368%, unchanged. 30 year 2.8746%, down -0.5 bp
  • US pre-market stock futures are higher. Nasdaq futures are up 24 points. S&P futures are up 5.25 points. Dow futures are up 29 points
