S&P and Nasdaq (and Russell at record levels)
The S&P and Nasdaq indices are ending the month and quarter at record high closes. The stocks post the first positive September since 2013.
Below are the changes on the day:
For the month:
- S&P is up 1.93%
- Nasdaq is up 1.05%
- Dow is up 2.08%
For the quarter:
- S&P is up 3.96%
- Nasdaq is up 5.79%
- Dow is up 4.94%
For the year:
- S&P 12.53%
- Nasdaq up 20.67%
- Dow 13.37%
The S&P and Nasdaq remains above its 100 day MAs at 2449.21 for the S&P and 6286.358 on the Nasdaq. The price has not closed below the 100 day MA since November 2016 (see post here)
