Facebook numbers after the close
The US stocks are ending the session mixed.
- The S&P is closing up 4.82 points or 0.18% at 2639.38
- The NASDAQ fell -3.614 points or -0.5% at 7003.73
- The Dow rose 59.7 points or 0.25% at 2408 323
The market was choppy in trading today as the market digest what is generally strong earnings but the market is having trouble keeping gains on better earnings.
Facebook earning are out after the close and reported
- $1.69 EPS which was ahead of the estimate of $1.35.
- Revenues came in at 11.9 7 billion versus estimate of 11.41 billion.
- Increased share buyback by $9 billion
- first-quarter monthly active users 2.2 billion versus estimate 2.19 billion
- first-quarter daily active users 1.45 billion versus estimate 1.45 billion
The stock is trading at $164. It closed at $159.69.
