Bank of Japan Governor Kuroda will speak in the Diet twice today

BOJ Governor Kuroda will appear in the Japanese parliament from 9 - 10am Tokyo time

• 0000GMT to 0100GMT

Then again from midday Tokyo to 12.30pm

• 0300GMT to 0330GMT

Note, Kuroda is scheduled to speak later in the day, at 0615GMT also (not in parliament).

Dep Gov Amamiya will be in parliament today at 0230GMT.

We just had some data released from Japan. I often preview the release of Japanes data with comments along the lines that its not likely to have much immediate impact on the yen. If you've been around more than 5 minutes in FX you'll not need to be reminded of this.

Today's data:

• Japan Core Machinery Orders (February): 1.8% m/m
• Japan PPI for March: 1.3% y/y (expected 1.0%)

And, yen … massive 5 tic range or something like that …
