A veiled, or not so, reference to the chances of the BOE having/intending to intervene on any Brexit outcome.
TSC member Rees-Mogg is again bear-baiting Carney saying he is showing political partisanship over Brexit. Carney says Rees-Mogg's memory is "selective":
- any suggestion that the BOE would make contingency plans for any reason other than financial stability is unfounded
- leaving the EU is the biggest domestic risk to financial stability
Meanwhile GBPUSD has survived a test of 1.4200 and currently 1.4216 as EURGBP eases back from 0.7756 highs.
