Fed hawk Hoenig: Inflation rising slowly, modestly

The most hawkish member of the FOMC says that US inflation is rising only slowly and modestly. One month’s data does not mean inflation is a problem.

The economy is recovery in a sustainable basis, Hoenig said.

Hoenig was the most outspoken critic of quantitative ease among the members of the FOMC.
