Neel Kashkari, President of the Federal Reserve Bank of Minneapolis is speaking at a town hall event in Michigan

(ps. Its live here)

  • Says there is nothing on the horizon to suggest that another crisis is imminent

Didn't Yellen say something along the same lines overnight? (ps. that's a rhetorical question ,,,,, more to come )

Yes, here it is:

  • Don't expect another crisis in our lifetime

So, correct me if I'm wrong ... but one of the arguments I've heard for the Federal Reserve to jack up rates is so they can lower them again if there is another crisis.

(Yeah, really!) So, if there is no crisis imminent doesn't that kick out one of the legs from the argument for rate hikes?
