Another big ramp up for the value of the onshore yuan
- CNY has not been this strong against the USD since … errr …. September 25 (OK, no that long then)
Yesterday the higher CNY was a factor (amongst others) supporting the yen, watch out for the same again today.
PBOC skips open market operations again today (this is for the 29th session in a row!)
- no RRs mature today, neutral from the bank
- 29 consecutively is the longest streak since 2016
