- + or - 2% variation permitted only (PBOC will intervene at those extremes if needed)
- but USD/CNH - no limits
USD/CNY cracks through 6.9 for the first time … ohhh … in about 2 weeks. Never mind. :-D
And, this same old (getting jaded I am …) … PBOC skips open market operations again today (this is for the 34rd session in a row)
- no RRs mature today, neutral from the bank
- 34 consecutively is the longest streak since 2016 (when the OMO policy begain)
