Remember that these figures are always a week old when they are released but they nonetheless give a fair oversight into how the market is positioned and if/how these positions are being unwound.
- EUR shorts were marginally reduced but the market remains overwhelmingly short and this is still the biggest open risk in the marketplace. Open positions are short to tune of around 158,000 contracts, a reduction of 14,000.
- USD longs were reduced by 1/3rd but overall positioning is not yet very significant, at around 100,000 contracts.
