Atlanta Fed Bostic speaking on Bloomberg TV

  • I think we're slightly accommodative
  • we don't have that much space in a downturn
  • risks to the economy are still out there, much hasn't not been resolved
  • filling entry-level jobs is extremely competitive
  • we are seeing competition and that's showing up in wages
  • seeing significant pay jumps for people changing jobs
  • he probably would've dissented against October rate cut

Bostic is the president of the Atlanta Fed and he does not vote in 2019 or 2020. He is generally considered a dove, but his comment about dissenting against the October rate cut is against the grain a bit.
