Bundesbank says it is looking through volatility in German economic data

Germany's central bank comments to Bloomberg in response to the industrial production drop earlier in the day

  • Looking through volatility of monthly economic data
  • Does not want to comment on individual indicators
As an aside, the Bundesbank noted last month that it expects "fairly strong" growth in Q4 2018. After the factory orders data yesterday and today's industrial production data, I reckon that outlook is very much forfeit unless the economy had a miraculous December month.
