The troika (ECB, IMF, EU) may be downgraded to a twosome if some ECB members get their way.
Welt is reporting that some ECB members think the ECB should exit the troika. This ECB was always the third wheel because it’s a non-political organization that isn’t supposed to assume financial risk. Somehow they got involved in a highly political bailout but it would be better optics if they co-operated from the sidelines.
