ECB's Visco: Further expansionary measures will be needed if Eurozone economy doesn't pick up

Author: Justin Low | Category: Central Banks

Comments by ECB member, Ignazio Visco

  • ECB will continue to assess measures at its disposal 'in the coming weeks'
  • Sees Italian GDP growth this year at 0.1%
This goes in-line with what we have been hearing from governing council members as of late. Do be reminded that the ECB next meets on 25 July and that's what Visco is referring to with his 'in the coming weeks' remark.
