My quick estimate shows about $1.1 trillion in QE3 so far, leaving $400 billion remaining.
If you assume the current pace continues in Dec, Jan and Fed that leaves only $145 of room which would suggest a rapid taper. Otherwise, the taper will have to start sooner.
