Wilkins is in Frankfurt
Bank of Canada senior deputy Wilkins was scheduled to speak in Frankfurt a short time ago but the comments haven't yet been published.
The market implied odds of a September hike have risen to 32% from 22% in the past few days after the surprise jump in the CPI announced Friday. Wilkins isn't shy about signaling on rates so we're eagerly awaiting whatever she delivers. Poloz will also speak Saturday at Jackson Hole so that will be another chance to deliver a message.
