RBA makes good on its pledge to buy bonds today

A lazy AUD500m of Oz bonds

The Reserve Bank of Australia said in their decision yesterday they'd be buying ion the 3 yr window today to knock yields a little lower. Done. April 2023 securities bought today.

The 3 yrs are barely away from the RBA 0.25% target. Seems like a bit for show. 4yr bonds are out of kilter and may have been a better target.
