A comparison of Reserve Bank of Australia Governor Glenn Stevens latest two meetings monetary policy statements

November on the left of screen, December on the right. Click directly on either to get a more detailed look.

Some interesting stand-outs:

  • Stevens notes weaker demand for commodities
  • He specifically mentions the large mining capex declines
  • Note his comments on house prices
  • And no change to his comments on the AUD

That's it for RBA monetary policy meetings for 2015. The year kicked off in February with a rate cut, then another in May. And its been unchanged since.

The next meeting is February 1, 2016.

Oh ... we'll still hear plenty from the RBA between now and then. Stevens speaks tomorrow, due at 0030GMT on Wednesday The topic is 'Economic Conditions and Prospects'
