A health, labour and welfare ministry poll was released this week and the reading isn’t great. The survey is run every 5 years.
- Less than 10% of people think they are financially comfortable
- 40% aged 20+ feel they are not well off
- 30% see their budgets as rather tight while 10% had a difficult time making ends meet
- 40% say their standard of living has declined in the last 5 years
I would suggest that those figures would be representative in most major countries.
As I’ve mentioned previously Abe and his mob have one hell of a task to turn things round and this is a “hail Mary” play. I dread to think the consequences if they fail.
