We are opening the session with a soft tone. Stock futures are looking to open slightly lower. The overnight news of a nuclear test by North Korea won’t have helped matters.
EUR/USD opening on the lows at 1.3380, sliding from 1.3410/15 overnight.
GBP/USD again at the lows of 1.5655 and looking very poorly.
USD/JPY has given up the 94.00 level after an impressive pop on the US close. Once it took out 94.10 it was open sky to just shy of option selling ahead of 94.50. Again, the N Korea news has left it’s mark and we’ve been down to 93.86. Currently 93.96.
AUD/USD Cleared bids and barrier at 1.0250 but could only manage a low of 1.2039. Once again the bears are finding it a hard slog to pull any decent pips out of it.
