More from the Japanese PM
- Consumer spending is flat due to concerns about the global economy
- It's important that there has been a rise in base wages for 3 years
- Wants to talk to G7 leaders about how Japan can contribute to strong and sustainable world economic growth
- Can't comment on opinions of US presidential candidates
And it's all over.
I can't agree with his comments on consumer spending. How many of us would put off spending just because of a slump in global growth?
The buck is under a bit of pressure now. USDJPY has dipped down to 113.48 and both the euro and cable have pushed up a touch.
