Ryan, Sean and yours truly all posted reasons to like the Canadian dollar late in the week.
Friday’s inflation numbers were probably skewed higher by seasonal factors but the risk of the BOC cutting rates is off the table and the Canadian economy probably grew 1.8% in Q1 while the US economy was flat.
Despite predictions of better US growth at the start of virtually every year, Canada’s economy has grown faster than the US in 6 of the past 7 years (with 2012 as the exception).
