And they're off! Stocks zoom ahead at the open.

Dow gets a Boeing and Apple boost

The stocks are off and away and they are zooming higher. Better earnings for Boeing and perhaps some relief from Apple (although they did beat marginally), are helping to shove the Dow up 288 points or 1.17%

The snapshot after a few minutes of trading is showing:

• Dow, up 262 points or 1.07% at 24842. The high reached 24874 so far
• S&P up 15.47 points or 0.59% at 2655.47
• Nasdaq up 71.76 points or 1.02% at 7100.

Apple and Boeing are adding about 200 points to the index

• Apple is trading up $7.49 or 4.84%
• Boeing is trading up $18.92 or 5.18%
