The Nikkei is heading into the lunch break 1.6% lower, but elsewhere losses are limited to less than 0.5%. Gold is $7 higher at almost $1196/oz.
Movements in the FX market have been small with the fall in USD/JPY the only move of note. The other major pairings are trading at their NY closing levels after some very brief forays down and then up.
