Rumors about a cut have been doing the round for a week. Economists are already forecasting 0.1% growth.

Italy still hasn't raised its GDP to pre-crisis levels -- a true lost decade (and counting).

Update: The deficit forecast will also rise to 2.5% of GDP from 2.0%. The latest budget was a major point of contention between Italy and the EU. All the fighting and uncertainty certainly didn't help. Now the EU will be asking for more austerity.
