Atlanta Fed Bostic speaking on Bloomberg TV
- I think we're slightly accommodative
- we don't have that much space in a downturn
- risks to the economy are still out there, much hasn't not been resolved
- filling entry-level jobs is extremely competitive
- we are seeing competition and that's showing up in wages
- seeing significant pay jumps for people changing jobs
- he probably would've dissented against October rate cut
Bostic is the president of the Atlanta Fed and he does not vote in 2019 or 2020. He is generally considered a dove, but his comment about dissenting against the October rate cut is against the grain a bit.
