A heads up for what is on the agenda from Australia this week. I'll get previews posted on approach.

  • Monday - nothing of note from OZ, but there is China data, of course: What to expect in the China data today - GDP, industrial production + more
  • Tuesday - RBA minutes from the July meeting (looking for more on stress in Australian short-term funding markets, maybe something on global trade tensions and of course anything on the currency specifically)
  • Wednesday - not much locally (leading index) but overnight there will be US CPI and Fed's Powell to speak
  • Thursday - locally there will be the NAB quarterly business survey (not as big an impactor as the monthly survey but still) and, more notably, the jobs report for June, which will be examined in the light of a slowing pace of jobs growth in recent months)
  • Friday - local economic calendar is bare
