I’ve just spoken with a very disgruntled trader whose sell order in AUD/JPY missed being filled by less than 1 pip and now he sees its almost 60 pips lower. Certainly not a nice end-of-week trading moment. When these things happen to me I know it’s time to turn the machine off.
Mild risk aversion is still the main factor with traders reducing AUD longs ahead of the weekend. The Nikkei is now only +0.35% after being over 1% higher earlier in the day. Gold has also fallen back to its NY closing level at $1353/oz.
