The Australian dollar surged during overnight trade, to highs just under 0.7040.
We've just had some poor data out, disappointing retail sales and a drop in job vacancies.
So, of course, AUD is heading higher:
Not a big move, but still. Balancing it out is the move appears a little more general - AUE, GBP, NZD all adding on a few points also.
