Week ended June 25
This weekly release does not tend to move the FX much (if any). But as background information its worth paying heed to. It had been in a noticeable downtrend and then recovered somewhat. But its slipped a little again this week.
There is usually a 'story' to explain why it moves one way or t'other each particular week, but unless its clear and compelling I don't usually pay it much attention. The downtrend seemed to related to poor wage growth.
