This now, via Westpac (in brief and bolding mine):

  • Dwelling approvals again surprised to the upside in October
  • While some of the ... gain will likely be sustained, the high rise component is likely to unwind October's big gain. With indicators pointing to a leg lower in high rise activity in the year ahead and a moderate pull back in non high rise approvals, which were strong through the middle of the year, November could easily see a sharp fall.
  • On balance we expect approvals to decline 1.5% but risks are to the downside
