The BOC has appointed former IMF official Timothy Lane as deputy governor, replacing Sheryl Kennedy who wtepped down in December.
USD/CAD has been fairly quiet today but supported by broad-based buying of the US dollar index today. USD/CAD is a component of the index. The Loonie trades now at 1.2605 to the dollar.
