HELSINKI (MNI) – Eurozone central banks have indeed been buying EMU
government bonds today, just hours after the European Central Bank
announced a new debt securities purchase program to stabilize shaky
financial markets, a spokesman from the Bank of Finland said.
“As can be seen from the market reaction, yes, European central
banks have been buying Eurozone government bonds already today. All
central banks are involved,” the spokesman said.
