The garrulous vice president of the US, Joe Biden, says the Obama administration will be blunter with China than the Bush administration but that no judgment has been made whether China has been manipulating its currency. He said they cannot have an economy totally devoted to exports.
There have been efforts to soften the tone set by Geithner in his confirmation hearings but not a reversal of the sentiment.
