LONDON (MNI) – Both Fixed and Tracker mortgage rates were a little
higher in January than December, the Bank of England’s January survey
shows.

The survey shows that, broadly, the current low levels of mortgage
rates which have helped boost household disposable income and provide
some support to house prices remain in place.

The BOE’s quoted rates survey found the average monthly rate on a
two year fixed 75% LTV mortgage rose to 3.7% in January from 3.5% in
December. Tracker mortgage rates rose to 3.55% from 3.51%.
