According to the FT, citing EU diplomats

The report says that negotiators have worked up a draft text that would go into a declaration on future relations post-Brexit. I'm surprised the pound is barely reacting on this but then again, there has been false dawns before. However, the headline here is positive nonetheless.

Looking more into the report, the consensus reached isn't looking to be all that is hyped up to be still. The UK is particularly fussy about the current equivalence system and wants a guarantee that assessments are conducted in sectors not covered by the current EU regime. But the report is saying that the EU is suggesting that such detailed pledges are not included in the framework for future relations.

That for me is still key as it means that there is still potential sticking points in talks between the two and that means once again, the optimism has room to be tempered with.
