Theresa May will be making a statement in parliament later today and is reportedly expected to tell lawmakers that they must "hold their nerve" to get the necessary changes needed for her Brexit deal to pass through parliament over the next 45 days.

May's statement later comes a day earlier than expected, as the Brexit debate only continues on Thursday. Nonetheless, it just feels like May is trying to buy more time at this point and that leaves further uncertainty in the air for markets and the pound.

With the European Union refusing to blink and offer any concessions/renegotiate the withdrawal agreement, it looks like this political game of chicken will continue for yet another week at least. The binary outcome of either a no-deal Brexit or an Article 50 extension draws ever closer.
