Reuters quotes a Russian source as saying the BRIC leaders asked their finance ministers to work on proposals on reserve currencies.
This comes just hours after a joint cummunique made no mention of a new supra-national currency. Russia looks like they are acting on their own on this one as the others have been quiet in recent sessions and even Russia’s finance minister talked up the dollar over the weekend.
All talk and no action is the likely outcome.
