Reuters interview with Fed's Bullard
Bullard in an interview with Reuters is saying:
- he is open to a rate cut if inflation still low after summer
- Fed made a huge move in January by taking future rate cuts off the table
- Fed's January policy change has helped bring down treasury yields, should boost inflation
- Rate cut during boom times would show Fed is serious on inflation target
- Low inflation and inflation expectations are concerning
- Fed policy is a little tight. Fed should be careful
Bullard is a dove. He is a voting member in 2019
