Turnaround in the pound
Theresa May is on the wires with some comments in an interview with 5 News but there isn't anything new there. She said preparations for a no-deal Brexit were 'responsible, sensible' and that the public should take comfort from them.
Fox is reporting that the UK wants a de-escalation in US-EU tensions on tariffs (doesn't everyone?).
This reversal comes with the US dollar getting some broader strength, although modestly elsewhere.
Technically, this is an ugly look in the short-term but in the bigger picture it's a blip.
