This ban on the short selling of euro government bonds is just bizarre. Does it apply only within Germany’s borders? Does it apply only to Germany companies? Weird..
So if German institutions can’t hedge against higher rates (buy naked short-selling government bonds), what do they do? Trade evil derivatives!
