The official Canadian April jobs report was very strong in April and this backs it up (especially when the huge revision to March is taken into account).
The gains were broad based with no categories losing ground. The largest contributor was Education and Healthcare at +16.3K followed by Construction at +10.3K and Trade/Transportation and Utilities at +10.2K.
