CANADA DATA: Consumer prices +1.3% (NSA y/y) in July after rising
1.5% in June. Main upward contributors to the increase were purchase of
passenger vehicles (+2.3%), food purchased from restaurants (+2.4%),
meat (+5.3%), electricity (+3.7%) and homeowner’s replacement cost
(+2.1%). On a monthly basis, prices were -0.1% (NSA). Core prices +1.7%
in July from 12 months ago, and were down 0.1% for the month. On a SA
basis prices fell 0.1% in July from June.
